Haviland & Co Limoges Bowl
« on: April 26, 2017, 06:18:32 pm »
I have a lovely Haviland Limoges Bowl with pink flowers and green leaves.  The mark H&Co (L) France in green lettering is on the back along with the Haviland & Co Limoges in red.  From what research I have done I believe this to have been made in the late 1800's - please correct me if I'm wrong.  Also, I cannot find this specific pattern - does any one know this pattern - it looks like dogwood flowers but could be wrong.  Thank you

Looks like the mark for 1888 to 1896 for Haviland !!  Can`t see the flowers  well enough to tell what they are !!

Thank you for your response - attached is a couple of closer up pics of the flowers.  I think they look like dogwood flowers, but could be wrong.

I believe it is Dogwood !!  You might want to read this before attempting to find a pattern name !!  Haviland produced between 20,000 and 30,000 patterns most of which were not identified by Haviland !!

Correct me if I am wrong...but aren't dogwood flowers 4 petaled?

The ends of these flowers are sometimes "notched" like the dogwood...but the only dogwood (with more than 4 petals) I have seen doesn't have the notched ends.

Apparantly others can't figure it out either:

Perhaps it's the artist's own rendition of a flower.  Thank you
