Beautiful piece.
I also see this as art deco in style. (If it weren't for this styling on the mounting I would have said 1850's to 1900's) This most likely was a garniture (garnitures are a set of matched vases used to garnish/decorate cabinets, mantles, large dining tables, etc. These sets were highly prized in Britain, Europe, France from late 1600's to mid/late 1800's - but customers could purchase 1 or more.) Most were porcelain (you will see this more in earlier pieces).
That said, the value would have been more with the matched set. HOWEVER, in this day/time most people do not have the need/want for a matched set unless they are collectors/designers/the wealthier!
Provenance/Makers marks would definitely increase the value of this piece as you know - however, not all pieces were marked even up to the early 1900's from many makers. If you search you will see lots of French Gilt/Bronze mounted Chinese flambe' glazed porcelain.
I also wish I could see it up close!!!! I would love to give you a $$$ but will bow to the others on the $500 replacement (however, it most likely is more).
