Can you take a close up of the feet/legs please !!  This one is too small to enlarge !! There are three separate posts on this !!  Can see the rocker ok !!  Maybe KC can combine them !!
The style is Empire Revival probably 1890 to about 1910,, not much way to get closer than that !!  I am guessing that the stuffing is horsehair/cotton or excelsior combined ??  Very stiff ??  Like a tough straw ??

Additional pics are not necessary !!  I just didn`t look at all the posts first !!   Same answer as above !!    When you get thaterror message just wait a minute and then  check to see if it posted before trying again !!  I get the same thing when I start a new post !!  It always posts fine without a re-do !!  I usually get out of the antique-shop and then go back in !!  Have no idea why it does this but I have had it happen over the past few months !!  Some kind of computer quirk I guess !!

Most of this type of furniture if reupholstered and left “brown” does not bring great prices. Painted pieces tend to sell better.  If you love the style and plan to keep it for yourself, I would go as close to original As you can.
I have a question about the furniture?  It appears it is outside in the snow.  How long has it been exposed to the elements?

Just on a trailer for moving yesterday. Was stored inside. Wood in rather good condition. Have any pics of something like this painted?

No problem!  Merged all!  :)

Nice pieces!  That rocker really rocks (more ways than one!)  😀

Love the details on it!

KC,
Thanks for the merge. I believe there is a comment missing where hhsdrew123 asked if anyone had examples of painted furniture like his.

Likely no pics of painted like this !!  Back then dark woods were the "in" thing !!  Now,, you can hardly give it away and if it needs re-upholstering,,even worse !!  But for ones self,, you can afford to spend a little and have good sturdy furniture that will last a while and not be some cookie cutter piece like everyone else has !!  Hate that !!  Hope you come back and show the updated set after refurbishing !!

Yep, late classical, often referred to as empire revival or pillar & scroll. On east coast USA you can't give this furniture away and if it needs new covering you may need to pay someone to take it. None of that matters though if you are a collector, restore away i say. If you are trying to sell, i'd say that is gonna be a tough sell today as it's just not in fashion or in demand.

Guess I'm just confirming I'm really odd...because I could see this reupholstered and blended in with other pieces in my home!  :)
