Wall hang China Cabinet

Hello all,

I bought this cabinet from a garage sale today. However, there are no markings other the one in the picture. I would think that it would be from the 1950’s only because it has the same hinges as another cabinet I have. I'm not sure if that is an accurate was of judging. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, could be 1960s, even 1970s. Mid-20th century in any case.

Can you please give dimensions of the piece - including the dimensions of the enclosed area.

This could also be a display cabinet, spice box or bread box - depending upon sizing.

What country are you in?  Part of USA if you are in the USA, etc.

The logo on your item is from Three Mountaineers, Inc in Asheville, NC which operated from 1932-1992.  A U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for the pictured logo in this link in 1957.

However, the next link shows that another registration was filed in 1979 for another logo.  Since I can find no other trademarks between this time, your item may have been produced somewhere between 1957-1979.  This dating was also mentioned in the response by Ghopper.

I unsuccessful in locating your cabinet in any catalogs that I found.  Perhaps someone else will have more information.

KC- the dimensions are as follows:

Sides: 18 3/4
From highest part in back from top to bottom is 20 1/2
Top shelf is 14 inches from top to bottom
Top shelf is 21 inches long
Top shelf is 7 inches deep
Bottom shelf is about 8 inches deep 
Bottom shelf is 21 inches long
the doors are about 10 and 3/8 wide and 9 3/4 long
The front face is 23 1/2 outer to outer

I will continue to research and let you know what i find out.

From what I have seen of the items from this maker they specialized in kitchen/spice holders.

I would suspect that the cabinet held spice bottles at one time and the top was for storage/display.

Not large enough and vented well enough to be for breads/pies/baked gods.
