1952 Kentucky Derby glass

Hello!!
Long time, no see!!

I had this glass marked at .25¢ at my yard sale many years ago.
It didn't sell.
Thank goodness!!

NOW, after being part of this great forum I've learned to research!!
I just came across this glass again going through a box of *stuff*.
As best as I can figure this glass is worth somewhere between $50 and $100
Am I correct?

No "bottoms up", mart, because there's nothing there.

Hmmmm
My brother says there's a raised mark on the bottom that looks similar to the English Pound sign

without the line through it.
Would that be Libby's?

But you are wrong on the prices,,Read link,, This glass was produced in 1953 and was made by Libby Glass !!  It had only the 1952 winner because the 1953 had not been run yet !!  I didn`t know these glasses were so popular !!

I went under the assumption this was made abgter the 1952 race had run.

Since this was a tribute glass to all the past derby winners it could have been made any time after the race !!  Just list it as 52/53 glass !!

When I posted this on Facebook one of my friends asked "What year is that glass??!!"
So I gave her the url also.
I'm sure she has dozens of Kentucky Derby glasses.
She has many awards and ribbons from horse riding back in the day.
These forums don't just help the ppl here.
