Looks Asian to me. And I agree with you, it doesn‘t look “medical” to me.

Which one of the tumblers has the “holes” in the bottom?

And given the “holes”,….. I think there is several missing pieces of the set.

And “sizes” of the pieces might be helpful.

Reminds me of a bathroom set!  Holes in bottom for shaver/toothbrushes, small water jug and shave cream bowl/waste pot?

Hmm, I would agree with KC, that it's a few pieces from a wash set.

Yep, its a couple of pieces from a Porcelain Chamber Set.  A chamber pot, soap dish, toothbrush/shaver holder, small water jug or cup.

So, they have 5 pieces of a set, and the tall looking “tumbler” is actually a “mug” with handle (not a pitcher with handle).

And I don’t believe the smaller “tumbler” with “drain” or ”vent” holes has anything to do with “shaving”.

Actually, given the design/pattern on the pottery, …… and the shapes and sizes of the pieces, ........ them being part of a bathroom or Chamber Set is out of the question.

To wit:

Measurements are:
Single handle bowl with lid- H- 5 3/4" x W- 10"
Small pitcher with handle - H- 8 1/2" x W- 4 1/2"
shaving brush holder- H- 5 1/4" x W- 3 1/2" widest and 2" at opening
oval plate W-5 3/4" x L- 8"
Large bowl H- 5 3/4" x W- 15"

Anyway, me thinks they are part of a “serving” set.

That is what I think too after knowing more !!  Thats the reason I said the one with the holes in the bottom may be a celery server that would sit in the dish !!  The other taller one may just be a vase !!

Still stick with bathroom set.  The mug with lid could be a shaving mug but a mighty large one! (Still think chamber pot.)

Celery holders didn't have holes in the bottom.  Typically in 1800's and onward, they had either "Celery Dishes" or "Celery Vases" (often mistaken for a spooner).  Celery vases were used to hold cool water and celery stalks with the leaves on (which made the table look ornate.)

Chamber pots with lids varied from 5 - 7.5" height to 9 - 10" width.  See Ruby Lane example:https://www.rubylane.com/item/530897-MC189/Victorian-Aesthetic-movement-Brown-Transferware-Covered?search=1

Large wash bowls typically measured 5 - 8" height and 14 - 17" width.  I believe the large bowl to be a wash bowl missing the matching pitcher.

Agree the one without holes could be a vase or celery vase - but seen altogether would be seen as a vase or water holder to drink.

Definitely not a vanity set.  Definitely not a celery holder.  Definitely not a condensed milk holder with lid (handled mug.)  Guess we can keep ruling out to come up with the answer.

Also, the double snakes wouldn't have been a desirable design for a table.

I'll say that I would hate to get served potatoes out of that "Single handle bowl"! (But, it is the perfect size to slip under the bed at night.)

Mart, I would bet a cup for toothbrushes.  That's what I would use it for.  The under dish could be just that - an under dish.  However, these sets generally had a soap dish and it looks alot like a soap dish.
