Antique Black & White Photographs Look like Stamps

Black and white antique photographs.I've never came across anymore of this type.I've had them I believe maybe 4 or 5 years.I've searched and searched found nothing.Anybody have any information.

Can you take a closer pic ??  First two appear to be early 20th century,, next three look like 1840`s !!  Cant see the last three well !!

I have seen photos similar to this that were passed down in the family from early 1900's.  Photos were not super cheap back then...but to have a bit of family treasure was worth it!  My folks said that getting small photos (several small versus large ones) was a more affordable luxury.

Now back in yonder years not too long ago, photographers would take your picture, in hopes of selling it to you or yours (such as student pictures at school), ….. and they would then print one (1) large copy [4X6, 8X10] for you ……. and to entice you to purchase your picture they would also print an 8X10 sheet of small copies [1X2, 2X3] for you to cut apart and give to relatives , friends, etc.


Those small pictures were the ones that were used when composing "school yearbooks"

The pictures has glue on the back like stamps as well as the edges when stamps are cut.

How big are the images? I have stamp cut edges on 3 by 3 brownie 1940’s pictures. They came in a bound pack of all the photos you had taken on the film roll. They are perforated and you can tear out individual photos.  I have earlier ones that are 2 by 3 but could not find them quickly to take a photo.

Pelady they are as big as a postal stamp,trying to find them,I hid them from myself lololol

Tucked in a locket or attached to love letters!
