I Think Native American Pottery Vase

I'm not sure but this pottery look like native American.I've had this pottery on 3 forums an no info.Hope someone can help

Well,, the shape and artwork are similar to some I have seen but,, if you think that any of the Native American tribes would have turned out anything that looked like that,, you are wrong !!  They were masters at making clay pots and vessels according to what they needed !!  Even really old dug pots are better than that one !!  You didn`t get this on ebay did you ??

No I didn't,this item came from the estate of a man who collected Native American items,there were necklaces,small blankets and this item.

Evidently he didn`t know what he  was buying !!  Back in the late 90`s  when ebay was going strong you found many items like this !!  Most from Mexico and South America !!  They had few regulations and items like this were selling for high dollar !!  Look at the images on them,, almost the same but reversed !!  They thought the more  crude they were, the older they looked when the opposite was  true !!  I wouldn`t touch it with a ten foot pole !!  But many failed to research before they purchased items !!
