https://www.realorrepro.com/article/New-Red-Wing-potteryThe above link will keep you up to date on most things selling today !!
https://www.redwingcollectors.org/32663/news/updated-stoneware-fakes-list-released-2The things being faked due to higher prices you can find at the Red Wing Collectors Society !! There is also a Red Wing for Sale group on facebook I have heard !!
The easiest way to research anything is to post it as a question on Google or whatever search engine you use !! Then do the same thing for "fakes" !! There is a difference between intentional fakes and reproductions !! Many times when a pottery goes out of business other potteries purchase the molds !! Not sure if Red Wing did this but the collectors will know !!
Red Wing used several marks over the years so just because the marks are different,, they can still be original to the company !! Their decorative marks are not the same as the marks on larger stoneware pieces !!
Use your eyes when possible,, look at the bottom of the item and see if the unglazed foot shows correct wear and discoloration for the age !! No matter how good a housekeeper you are,, the unglazed foot will collect dust and should show it !! If its too clean with sharp edges,, pass,, there are always others on the market !!
