AND....Hitler's swastika had a 45° rotation which the early ones did not have!

Ah so, …. being embossed on the bottom of a round pot, that would be hard to determine iffen no other marks thereon. ::) ::)

The company that made this was in existence prior to Hitler's time and was made in the USA.  The ones representing Hitler were inside of a square or flag and would show that the symbol is rotated in relation to the square sides.

Well, …. maybe, ……. not quite ……... 8) 8)

A company noted for making these  was the Dilver Manufacturing Company in Pittsburgh.  owner's manual for a "Dilver Fruit Press/vegetable press/sieve/collander/ricer"  which I believe is what you have.  from 1912.

Antique kitchen food mills and strainers, especially those with unique markings like a swastika symbol, are fascinating artifacts that reflect kitchen history and cultural symbolism. Originally representing peace in various cultures, the swastika symbol later became widely controversial, but its presence on old kitchenware, like some food mills, often points to its pre-20th-century roots. These strainers played a central role in food preparation, making it easy to create smooth sauces and purees—techniques still cherished in recipes, where traditional food prep methods honor authentic flavors and textures. Collectors and culinary history enthusiasts alike might find these antique pieces both useful and intriguing.
