Nice piece. I don't recall ever seeing one like that.

And "Yes", my opinion it is a "kitchen collectible".

And the "swastika" is a design that has been around a long, long time before the Nazi decided to use it.

Where are you located?

And ps, ….. a better picture of "logo" would help, …..

I have only seen a few of these food mills/ricers from the early 1900's with the symbol on it.  The symbol originally meaning "good fortune" is found on china, silver, linens, tapestries, etc.  It was later adopted by the Nazis and the positive associations with the symbol and been overshadowed by that dark period in history.

Is it a collectible piece?  Yes!  Will people who are not "Nazi collectors" be interested?  Yes, because it was before the symbol was adopted by the Nazis.  Will you get rich from it?  No...sorry.  But it is in fact a wonderful piece of history reflecting the time and good will.  A bit of history is noted here:  https://www.ancient-origins.net/myths-legends/symbol-swastika-and-its-12000-year-old-history-001312

A company noted for making these (with this symbol) was the Dilver Manufacturing Company in Pittsburgh.  Not much is known of them but I have found reference to a owner's manual for a "Dilver Fruit Press/vegetable press/sieve/collander/ricer"  which I believe is what you have.  https://www.abebooks.com/paper-collectibles/Dilver-Promotional-Booklet-Fruit-Press-Vegetable/12485023906/bd from 1912.

Not true!  The swastika is imprinted into the metal on the top picture!

I have enlarged it and changed the picture tone to see it better (from the photo above.)

The bottom of the food press needs a "steel wool" treatment ….. then a pencil "lead" dusting of the logo …… and another picture taken and posted. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I still can't make out the image of the logo.  As was explained to me by a very old gentleman many years ago there is a difference between the
American Indian sign for "good fortune" or "good luck" and the "swastika" adopted by the Nazi Party.

The logo is composed by four "arms".  In the Nazi version the top "arm" points to the right, the right "arm" points down, the bottom "arm" points to the left and the left "arm points upward.

In the Indian version all "pointing" is reversed.  The only benefit of determining which version it is would be the "dating" of the item.

Mart; Try right-clicking on the address...below the picture. You should be able to open the image in a new page and then enlarge it.

jondar, this item was made in 1905 - 1912 time period.  I have seen the arms several different ways from the late 1800's to early 1900's all American made items - before Hitler.  AND....Hitler's swastika had a 45° rotation which the early ones did not have!

Here is a site that recaps some:  https://relicrecord.com/blog/ancient-peaceful-history-swastika/
