Metal Detector Find - Need Help With Sterling Ring Date and Hallmark

Did you manage to pinpoint the manufacturer of the ring, tales? Sorry if I'm missing something.

No, I did not figure out the manufacturer, and I saw the same CS logo on other college rings that look just like this one. It appears that they made these rings for quite a few different colleges, just changing the emblem for each one. It does appear that the wide band style fell out of favor after the 50s in favor of the class rings we know now. The former owner of the house went to University of Georgia, but this was not her ring. So my best guess on the age is still 1930s -1950s, probably 50s.  Some friend from college must have dropped it here on a visit.

When I was growing up in Florida...it really snowed hard in Georgia (1973) so my Dad piled our family in the car to drive up and see snow.  My oldest brother and I had the best snow ball fight out in a field.  Later, much later, he discovered that he had lost his new High School class ring.  So....hopefully someone found or will someday find his and be delighted with the gold ring and real sapphire stone in it!
