Cast Iron drafting table I.D.?
« on: August 16, 2020, 02:26:22 pm »
Hi all. Inherited this drafting table from my Mom recently. Double legged, 3 pronged feet, original hardwood top. I cannot find a maker's name or stamp anywhere? Do any of you have an idea where to look or maybe have seen this style before? Cast iron, square headed bolts and very heavy. I took  the top off for transport.

you might check the legs for a foundry name !!  but until after 1930 names and makers info was not put on furniture or items like this and only rarely at that time !!  look on ebay to see what they are actually selling for !

This is an antique cast iron double pedestal drafting table and they very popular - not only by draftsmen but by interior designers to be used as tables.

Yours sure bears resemblance to the one made by Morse Machine Company!  I have only found one online!    With some TLC yours could be a real piece of art!
