Can messengers be trusted?

Which one is the safest and most trustworthy? Because I recently read an article saying that all chats can be read and you can't write anything personal there.

Even yourself cannot be trusted completely. The most "problematic" messenger that threatens the information security of a company is Skype. At various times, serious loopholes have been found in it, through which one could get full remote control over the computer. But I've already forgotten the last time I used it.

The question sounds a little strange. I trust you.  I have nothing to hide. I have almost all the popular messengers installed. I use gb whatsapp almost all the time now. It's a mod for the official messenger with a bunch of extra features. Not everyone knows about it, it only works on Android for now.  I prefer the invisible mode, which is not in the official version. I downloaded the gb whatsapp update, it has even more features. So I think you can use it.
