German Cutlery
« on: April 04, 2006, 01:30:17 pm »
I wanted to see if anyone had any info about Lord Nelson Cutlery? I have service for 6 of a Rosewood & Bronze Cutlery Set. It says on the insert that it was from a company called Furst Besteck and called Lord Nelson Cutlery. The insert was printed in West Germany, but is not dated. It is printed in English and German. I surfed the net,  but really couldn't seem to find anything. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

please double check the spelling - Furst Besteck does indeed lead to sites not concerning tableware or cutlery - Perhaps something is being lost in translation.

Is there an indication of metal type?  Stainless steel?  Sterling silver etc.  ?        KB

I bought Furst-Besteck's "Lord Nelson" bronze and rosewood flatware when I was stationed in Germany in the 1970's.  Perhaps this helps you date the information.  Unfortunately, this pattern has been out of production for a long time, as it is quite attractive.
