Tiffany Mess kit

Just inherited some items from my grandfather who served in Europe during WW2,  What I have is a Tiffany@Co stamped Kit for heating a cup of liquid  Cased in aged leather with Silver Cup and Lantern, both stamped with Tiffany & Co.  I have no idea if this was aquired in during the war or not, im just guessing that maybe it was made of silver due to the metal shortage during the war.
Any help identifying exactly what it is would be greatly appreciated.
