Wiskey Insurrection Punch Bowl
« on: January 28, 2007, 02:24:44 pm »
I am looking for help in validating the value and history of a punch bowl that I inherited from my great grandfather who was an antique collector and the story is that this punch bowl was in the Smithsonian Institute for some time.  There is an old postcard attached to bottom of the bowl that states Geoge Washington drank punch from this bowl in 1791 at the Caldwell Inn, in Parlsinsons Ferry, now Monongahela, PA.

If anyone has provenance, it would be the Smithsonian. On the other hand,
they may still be looking for it. :o
