I thought you might be interested to know that I own one of Peggy Davies original pieces, here in Australia.
I bought it from an antique dealer in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1992. It is a fabulous piece, a mother cat and kitten in the one sculpture. The kitten, in particular, is extraordinarily lifelike – captured under glass, you would think. It is in absolutely mint condition. It is signed Janus Studio, designed and modeled by Peggy Davies. Made in England.
It also has a sticker “E A Joyce & Son Established 1893” – this is Antique Dealer from whom the piece was purchased.
I would be interested to know more about it, if anyone knows of this piece.
