This box belonged to my great grandmother, and was given to me by my grandfather many many years ago. I don't know anything about the box, other then it looks like ivory set within the wood on the hinged lid, it looks to be hand made, and it is very very old. The lock and key aren't the typical lock and key, it's rather hard to explain, hopefully the pictures will help to generate some answers on where it came from, what period in time and stuff like that.
I'm very attached to the box, and really have no desire to sell it, I would just like to know more about it. If anyone has any information, please let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it!
