help identifying a coffee/tea pot
« on: August 12, 2007, 09:17:31 am »
I have a coffee/tea pot that I have looked to identify, for years.  It was given to me by world travelers.  It is quite ornate.  Brass. 8" tall from top of handle to bottom of pot. The handle sides are brass curvy and leafy.  The top of the handle is wooden, black and carved with rings, measuring 4".  The pots top is brass with a wooden knob, measuring 4".  The spout is curved 5" long with a perforated metal strainer welded inside.  The pot hangs from a twisted wrought iron stand.  Under the pot a warmer with a lid, has a built in spot.  The warmer is brass, with a permanent screen.  The lid has a small delicate hinge and top that flips open using a 3" wooden handle.  It looks as though it was moderately used.  I believe, It was acquired around the late 60's.  I would appreciate any ideas.
