identify teaset
« on: November 30, 2007, 10:20:53 am »
My wife found an old teaset whilst clearing a relative's home.
There is no name , just the number '5508'.
It is white with gold leaf and fruit pattern.
Does anyone know what this is please?
Viv.

Hi guys and gals, what a great web site!  you may see me here a lot because I do get a lot of "antiques" (I hope?)  My mom told me that she received a gift when she was nineteen ( which would be around 1929.)  This is a pair of chinese green ceramic figures carrying water pails.  They are detachable and I think would be little planters.  The figures are of a man and a woman about 15 inches tall.  Does anyone have any info on these  Thanks a bunch.  BettyO
