How interested would you be in using an alternative antique auction site specifically for antiques. with lower listing fees and free options like set reserve & buyout feature?

I saw many shopping sites which are alternative to ebay, Here’s a piece that says that people have been looking out for trade sites like silkfair that offer lower costs than eBay. Looks like people are willing to try out new avenues.

I took a quick glance at the site. I would not call it an alternative to ebay. I would have to say a alternative site to Ebay, must be an  auction site of some form or fashion.  Now, with that being said, I do think the site will earn its place in time.  I do like what I see, so I think I will spend some more time on the site.

I just wanted to share that there has been a new group formed to "lobby" for the interests of the small seller of antiques, vintage items and collectibles. Please check it out at http://ebayalternative.ning.com/

There was a recent article on Techcrunch about the launch of a social network of buyers called bonanzle.com.

It was a bit confusing, so I did not join..
