I purchased these for $40.00 for the pair about 20 years ago and was told they were purchased from an estate sale. I haven't any idea the age or if they were in fact antique chairs. I thought because of the beautiful carving and the way they're made they could be old, but not sure. I'm asking for help to determine the age and possibly value of these. They were black with the paint chipped in places when I purchased them so I don't know if this is orginal or if they've been repainted.
