Antique Gold ornamental pocketknife
« on: August 09, 2008, 12:00:31 pm »
I have found a solid gold antique pocketknife in my deceased husbands belongings.  I remember him stating that he had tried to sharpen it when he was younger and was scolded because it was solid gold.  It has "chinese like" impressions on the handle of the knife.  I have no idea if it is worth anything as an antique, or if it is only worth its weight in gold?   Does anybody have any idea?  No manufacturer or inscription is on the knife.  It's in perfect condition.

if it could be determined to be quality gold it would carry a value. and a pawn shop or jeweler could that.
