Chippendale Style Folding Chair
« on: January 07, 2009, 01:57:12 pm »
:o Am hoping someone can tell me about this early set.  It is well constructed card table (design on top) and 4 folding chairs.  It says Stakmore Trademark Aristocrates of folding furniture, Stakmore Co. Inc. NY.  They are pretty old as they were my 83 year old mother's mother set.  So in the early 1900's or earlier.  Can't find anything about them.

They are still in business today.  They started in 1922 thus your chair is after 1922 or after.  You may want to contact the company to find out the year of manufacture.  stakmore.com
New ones at Costco this year were $28.99 each.  Yours:  $20 - 25.

There duncan phyfe. reproductions. wicker replacement would be $ 75.00 + Dollars. so the chair should average $ 125.00 Dollars.

Thank you.  I would think it would be more than $20.00 with the wicker.
