Is my metal vase old? "bottom pic added"
« on: February 03, 2009, 10:22:46 pm »
This 10" metal vase weighs 3 and a half pounds - I've had it vor about 12 years, and bought it at an antique dealer's.  However, I don't think it is very old.  The disk on the bottom looks hand made because it does not fit very well.  The marks on the bottom are also
hand stamped into the metal - anyway, they are very crooked and unaligned.

The metal on the bottom disk looks yellowish like brass - but I can't really tell what the metal on the body is.  I only paid $40 for it.

Bottom says:

AD
1400
Korea

Any insights?

Can you please post a picture of the bottom of the vase?
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

It's a typical style of the 40's & 50's.it would sell in the $40.00 to fifty Dollar range.
