What is the identy

I came across this item at storage unit sale. i believed it to be a water ern? it is very heavy, made of some sort of metal, maybe copper. Having no idea what this is i've found nothing in my searches that comes close. Any information would be greatly appreciated....Than ks

Can you post a side view?

well. that is curious.. the pattern seems to be in the patina. I wonder if the patina was a different metal?

Unfortunately, its out of my area if knowledge...

A picture of the bottom might be worthwhile! :)

Okay....I still think it looks like a genie bottle.....but will do more looking.

Does the lid screw on or have a cork (or appear that it did have a cork)?

Was inclined to think was a liqueur bottle (not liquor) from the 50's - 60's....however....it may have been made strictly for decorative purposes.  It really is pretty and intriguing.  For decorative purposes I would value at $35 - $50 because of sentimental (genie bottle) and look.
