Cannot find information on a Necchi sewing machine.
« on: March 25, 2009, 05:30:09 pm »
Hello, and how are you. Today a friend called me and told me that he had found something. I am just wondering what kind of price range could be given on a 1952 necchi sewing machine, or if it could continue to raise in value over the years, or if its even worth anything at all. A friend of mine has found it. The manual is with it. I have not seen it yet. I tried to google it in many different forms, but all that I found were history notes on it.

I eventually found the homepage of necchi, which unfortunately is written in Italian.

Now I will read you the warranty that came with it. How convenient :D

Type: bf
Model: 104
Serial #: 753636
Purchased on: 30/March/1953
Authorize necchi dealer stamp Morgans
Store was bought from: Necchi Sewing Machines, Canada, ltd. Address 464 mcgill street Montreal, Quebec

Now this bottom part I typed because I asked him what it looked like, this was his explanation. He is French, so it sounds confusing.

its like a desk you open it the top the top it makes it an extension to the desk and then you take the sewing machine from inside the gut and you just swivel it up and theres a peice of wood sit back on operates by knee...

There is an extension of the Necchi Company today at (According to the Italian site)
Allyn International
Sewing Machine Importer
1075 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204
Phone: 1-800-525-9987
Fax: 303-825-5078
E-Mail: necchi@allynint.com

It sounds like his is in a cabinet I believe.  Would need to see a cabinet to evaluate it as a whole.  The machine itself, if in good working order, would sell for $49 - $80 price range.

I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
