Well , it sure would help to see any makers' marks , when you get around to posting pics ... & maybe one of the I/S of the works too ?
Also , is the watch 'working' ?
If you don't know already , Prescot , in the 19th century , was the 'center' of the Lancashire clock & watch industry in Liverpool , England .
An old rumor has it that sometimes companies would 'job-out' watches from Prescot & have them stamped @ the makers with "Prescot" , with the contracting company's name either before or after the stamp .
Just using the word "Prescot" lended some degree of what we'd today call 'product recognition' for buyers in England .
I really can't say much about your watch until you let 'us' take a peek @ it , though .
