Need Help With an Antique (Ferguson)
« on: June 07, 2009, 11:47:00 am »
Hello my name is Justin and I am new to this site.  I have a little corner table with a slideout ashtray and I cant find anything on it.  Below is some info on it that I can see.

It says Ferguson
There is a Number 4196
FBM CO
Hoboken NJ

Here are a few pictures of the table.

Is there anyway someone can tell me when it was made, some history on it and how much it may be worth? If there is can you please post on this thread and not message me I am new to the site and dont know how to do all of that fancy stuff.

Looks like an End table/magazine rack............194 0's-50. Walnut perhaps. $20 at a live auction. Ferguson was in business from 1898-1953.

The Ferguson Brothers Manufacturing Company made furniture in Hoboken, NJ from 1898 - 1953. They were family owned until being bought in 1953 by Sun-Glo Industries and were relocated to Virginia.

This was known as a smokers table or side table.
