Windsor Ware Bowl (Solved except Value)

Bought it at a yard sale this weekend - Back reads Windsor Ware - Johnson Bros England

Then says

"All Decoration under the glaze permanent & acid resisting colors - A genuine hand engraving Pat: Pend:

In some form a very messy "51" was written on the bottom in lime green. Don't know if it was by the makers or by the previous owner. I have four pictures, they are below:

Johnson Bros. had a line of China Called Windsor ware, Different style, and colors like flowers and Fruit different colors, Blue Windsor Ware and etc. Even seen one on replacements called Castle.  Didn't see one like you have but I'm sure there are many others.  As for the green number, I have lots of china with numbers smeared on the plate and etc.  So I'm sure that is a mark for the maker, but that is just a guess.  You have a intresting hallmark to say the least, havent' seen one with all that before, but that is not surprising.  So many marks that can make one's head spin.

A mark with that type of information on the back is always a 20th century mark (or 21st). Windsor Ware is a trade name used by a retailer in Philadelphia (Fisher Bruce Co.) from the 1930s to the early 1970s.

Wow, now I'm a bit confused  .  Which is not a surprise  .  I have heard of Fisher Bruce Co. which is a Silverplate company owned or acquired by oneida I believe.  Not sure about the retailer side of the story.  However there is a line of Winsor ware made by johnson Bros.

As for value I would not place higher then maybe $15.00 if you can find someone who wants that pattern, of course I may be all wrong here but was a bit confused gy the Fisher Bruce Co.  Would like to see the link you have for this information if possible, might just clear my head a bit

That does seem weird he didn't even mention the Johnson Bros.

The only reference I could find on the net to Fisher Bruce is this link, I will look at a few real books when I get home from work, but I think you have a Johnson bros. Winsor ware line.

Johnson Bros did make Windsor Ware which was a line of dinnerware.  They made so many that finding a particular pattern is hard!
