Asian Wall Pocket

Can any help me with the writing on this wall pocket.  What is the language and what does it say?  Some place I read it meant something about  .....  one child you have 10 grandchildren...  I would really appreciate any help!! Thanks!

Just sent this  pic to my Korean friend.....if they don't know they have a close knit group (Chinese, Thai, Japanese, etc.) to ask if someone doesn't pop up with the answer first!
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

     I have a friend at work who read chinese, he said it say 100 sons, 1000 grandsons.

He said you are welcome, he did also note that in old chinese you have to read it backward, and then something about the symbol for son and more then son ???
I son't always get this stuff. :o
