Help Identifying a dresser please :)

This dresser was given to me about a year ago.  I have removed all the drawers and searched the interior for some sort of identifying makers mark or year but have found nothing.  The dresser needs some restoration and before I begin I would like to know if it is worth my time & efforts.  There is a link to some photos of the dresser below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry about that, Wendye, ...... it is not a dresser.

I'll call it a a tall "Golden Oak" sideboard ...... or buffet, if you choose.

There is no way of telling who made, and besides, the maker is not important.

Yes, it is worth your while to restore it. I won't quote a price, will just say its worth several hundred..

You have a really nice piece there so careful on any restoration.

Cogar is correct. it was likely made between 1890 & 1900 I can see circular saw mark's on the interior. there appears to be water damage to the lower back side, which is ok.

Nothing should be done to the rear as far as refinishing. it should remain as is.if you intend to keep it by all mean's injoy the refinish. it's hard work.

A suggested mfg would be. C.& A Kreimer of Cincinnati Ohio.

Totally agree with the others.

This will be really nice restored!  Agree not to try and deal with the back....it won't be seen and like many of us with age...those marks have a story....and add personality!
