dynamite blaster
« on: July 08, 2009, 10:15:40 am »
I have a wooden dynamite blaster that was given to me years ago.  There's a metal plate on the top that says "Aetna Powder Company" and "Lion No 3 Blasting Machine."  I have been able to find info on the company but no info at all on the blaster itself.  I will try to borrow a camera to upload a picture of it, but in the meantime does anyone know anything about this... how old it might be, if it's worth anything?  Thank-you.

I'm assuming it's a plunger device.  If so, these devices show up on eBay now and again and bring fairly good money.

Yes, it's a plunger.  I tried searching for it like that also with no luck.

Now that is my kind of "conversation piece". But the wife might not go for it.

Do you have a link to that?  I can't seem to find it.  Thanks.
