RKG Czechoslovakia Gold Tea Set (serves 6)
« on: September 01, 2009, 03:32:38 pm »
Hi!  New here and have a question regarding this tea set.  Based on stamp it's 1928-39 period.   Acquired it via family and it appears to be in it's original box.   Could anyone share insight on it's value or where it's best to sell?     I've tried to post a pic, but no success so far.   Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay!  I tried my own way and after unsuccessful attempts, I went thru Photobucket.   :-\
So let's see if I did this correctly....

If in original box....pic of name/identifiers on box...and marks on back of saucers and underside of cups?  Need pics!  Thanks JJ.

The following is what is over the entire box.  It's like a Marquee:  PORCELAINE DE CARLSBAD  KARLSBADER PORZELLAN   CARLSBAD CHINA   KARLOVARSKY.....jus t a running print over the entire box.    Also, what I have found is that 5 saucers bear the number 27 under Czechoslovakia stamp and the 6th plate is number 13.   The cups are the same way in that 5 cups bear number 31 and the 6th bears 18, printed slightly off center to the right.    As I may have stated earlier, the stamp is a crown with RKG in side of it and Czechoslovakia printed underneath, then the number.     I have found that this stamp signifies a time period of 1928-1939.      I'm very curious about the numbering now.  ???

Agree it is luster ware and value as D&b said.

Karlsbader Porzellan interprets in German to Carlsbad China.
