w&e corn pottery
« on: September 28, 2009, 09:03:14 pm »
Have a beautiful two-handled water ewer made by the bothers w&e corn in the late 1800's when they took over production from their deceased father. Does anyone have a rough estimate about this piece? Stands 14" with a round bottom and slender neck with handles on each side.Has a gold raised lace design around bottom of neck and top of bowl. Has painted flowers on bowl. Can send pictures tomorrow if anyone interested in looking at it .

Is your piece White, They were really famous for the Queen's ware.  I do know a little about them but would have to see a pic to look for pattern in my books or online.  Not much is listed at replacement or on Ebay, kind of rare manufacter I would assume, at least here in the states.   I would gambit that one in excellent condition could bring $50.00 low ball, just a guess.

Hi. Last night tried for too long to add pics. Will try again. Pitcher is an off white or ivory. I'm pretty sure all gold trim is carat.

I do have one item from W E Corn, but right now it is in one of my many boxes of stuff to go through.  It is a small white creamer,  when I got the piece I look up the manufacture and this is how I found out about W E Corn being famous for Queens ware.  If I run into it I will pic it and process so I can share it.  Mine has no gold boarder, just plain white.
