I know this is a really old thread but I have a Parrish bowl with the stamp on bottom, it also has a silver and blue triangular label on the inside that reads "Parrish" in the upper part of the triangle, and "Chicago" at the bottom. Does anyone have any information on something like this? Thanks so much for any replies.

The label really doesn't look very old, so I think this is probably a reproduction. Still, I'd like to know more.

Early ones have a different font on the base. This looks more 60 / 70s

Agree with Ipcress about label and approximate date!

Nice bowl!

"The Parrish company made wooden bowls from the 1880s through the1920s."

This looks like a later, machine-made bowl. Supposedly, after the company went out of business, a large stash of these bowls was found in a warehouse in northern Indiana.

I'd estimate its worth at around $25 or so.

I do not think they made reproductions of these bowls !!  The larger ones are usually called dough bowls,,they made salad sets as well with a large bowl and smaller ones for individual servings !!
Please post a pic of the possum belly cabinet,, would love to see it !!

I've lived here in and around Chicago for dang near 60 yrs and I never heard of this place.

The sticker says "Chicago." It looks like Mart came up with information for a different company.

I don't know where the "Chicago" connection comes from, but I believe Hulbert, Michigan was the home to at least one Parrish company that manufactured wood bowls. (See page 1 of this subject.)

Mmm,, !!  I just assumed there was only one and that Hulbert was near Chicago !!  Odd  that there were two companies with the
same name !!  I think they were talking about the triangle mark !! Surely both did not use the same mark !!  Didn`t see a different one !!  Didn`t find any history on either one  !!
