Hitler pin cushion
« on: October 03, 2009, 07:45:44 pm »
We were cleaning out the attic of an old house we recently purchased it had a box of old war pic & other little items. The 1 thing we found very intesting was a pin cushion of Hitler bending over & the pins going (you know where) Does anyone know anything about this item - value, rare, etc...  We spoke with one gentlemen from a local antique shop, he said he has only seen 1 other one before & he's been in buisness for 20 odd some years.  Any help would be great. Thanks All.

very similar, the cushion is not as big dosen't stick out past the figurine. Doesn't look as glossey as the pic with no base.  According what we came up with is this box has been sitting here for a while. The parents both died & left the house to their kids & they didn't want anything to do with the house. i'm saying I don't think it's a reprod. if there is such a thing??? Thanks for the help

A few more shots of a "Hotzi-Notzi" pin cushion, Johnson Smith Novelty Catalogue

Check the base for a mark....."Pat. Pen. 1941-CPE."

Ive got one like the ebay version and have turned down $100 for it,,,it even has an uneven curved base so that it waggles its CUSHION at you.  Actual value probably $60-100 or so.

There is a big difference between the 2 pics. the one I have is the one on e-bay?  Big difference in the price,  is that accurate??  Thanks for the help.

Id say price is based like everything else on what the customer will pay,,,judging from Ebay,,,not jumping off the site!

It looks like that Ebay seller may have a whole box full of these and is selling them one at a time. He/she had 21 bidders on the auction above, it will be interesting to see what the final prices are. The one above closed at $137.  Here's the new auction for another:
