Civil War Frying Pan

I have this frying pan given to me by my mother when my stepdad died several years ago.  He told me it had been carried by his granddad who was a member of the 40th Illinois Infantry Regiment and had seen service in several battles of the War.  I will try to post pictures but haven't been too good at it for some reason.  The handle of the pan is stamped into the iron the letters HDL or IDL within a square. The other symbol is the two fishes, used commonly today as a religeous symbol.  Does anyone recognize who the maker of would be and the approximate age, I'm not sure that is was new at the time of the Civil War.  I also have the history of the 40th, the battles fought, and the names of the members.

I did find mention of IDL working in 1861. the cup would average $25.00 to $50.00 Dollars. the skillet $ 75.00 to $ 125.00 Dollars. the texas Badger will likely be a long shortly.
