« on: October 06, 2009, 02:35:29 pm »
I purchased this coffee pot 25 to 30 years ago at a estate sale. trademark name is silex. it says made in usa. pat.#1859614. This pot works great and is in great condition as well as the electric cord. If anyone has any information or knows what year this might have been manufactured and if it has any value, I would appreciate any info. you can give me. thank you.  gholt11

The patent no. you listed is for the handle (#1859614) which was patented in 1932. The designer was Anne M. Boever for Silex (SX).

Here is the link to the list of patents for Vacuum Pots.......the dates for each period are for those the item was patented not filed. Yours appears to be the last designed by Boever.  Other parts designed by her for Silex can be found in previous years.
