coca cola empty rack----help!!!

I was hoping to get some info from here if possible. I have come across a coca cola collapsable metal sign that reads "Please Place Empties Here". I have searched and searched but cannot find anything about another one like it....I have seen similar that sold for over $300 when they were refinished. This is not refinished. Has surface rust but the logo and wording is still readable. Are there any ideas out there on value? Any idea if I'm right on if its 40's or 50's? Thank you! Any input is greatly appreciated!

I had actually come across what I think was your rack, restored, while looking at 'old oil' stuff. Now just have to back track to see if I can find it again.

Ahhh, that first listed website shows it as 1943....Leaves me wondering if if was used in any other years, I see it was dropped in 44. Thanks!

I'm by no means a Coke memorabilia expert but the type font on the piece screams 1970s to me. Most of the coke graphic styles went across the entire breadth of their marketing and advertising campaign in any given period as far as I've observed. Last year I came across a collection of National Geographics from 1915 through 1980 that commonly featured Coke ads on the back cover through this time period. Again, this type font most closely resembles the font used in their early to mid 70's ads.
