Thanks guys....again, it was fun. ;)

I did notice that even with the price they were 'asking' for the sconces, that they had been refinished.  Have no idea how accurate that price might be, but if it's close I would think original finish would be worth more.

(Sapphire) I noticed that too- that they had been refinished a bit. I also found out that we actually have 1 extra glass insert for each piece, so that would total 7 extra glass pieces, besides the ones that are currently in use. I found the glass inserts to sell for 200.00/piece.
It makes my stomach turn b/c we used to have this awesome ceiling light in the kitchen- it was all whight...kind of a long almost star shape that had black (painted?) lines on each edge/corner. Hard to explain- but REALLY cool. Definietly of the same era...and while my dad and husband were working on the bathroom (pounding) upstairs the fixture fell off the ceiling and broke. It was a very sad occasion b/c that piece I actually Loved. Makes me wonder now what the value of that one was. I tried to find it on the website that has the sconces but I didn't see it. I'll see if I can't find something similar. Really is a shame that it broke though.

Actually the kitchen light fixture looked a lot like this one except it was basically the top portion minus the smaller honeycomb pieces. (sorry, it's hard for me to describe)
Here's the website I found the photo at http://www.pwvintagelighting.com/listings/l2130.html

I also have one other fixture that came with the house. I was hesitant to post it, b/c to me it looks like it's kind of a 60's 70's style fixture...BUT,  I've been wrong before, so we'll see what what you guys think. I am pretty sure it's hand painted. There is a little paint around the top half, but I've found I can rub the paint off with my finger if it does have some value/significance. I did look online at some of the vintage lighting sites, which had a few ceiling lights that were hand painted- only found one with a bird and I believe it was a parrot. Other than that didn't find too much. The bird is painted on 3 sides of the fixture.

Any chance your kitchen one (god rest it's soul) looked like this?

I know I ran across some painted ones in the hunt, will try to backtrack  ;)

I was just looking at that site! funny. Actually it looks almost exactly like this one http://www.vintagelights.com/product/1/antique-green-design-on-white-milk-glass-shade-white-porcelain-fitter.html except it didn't have the green painting. It just had a black outline on all the edges.

So basically it was the above light, but painted the same as the picture in my first post about the kitchen light.

Still searching the bird light...I did find one painted bird light by Moe Bridges...not sure if my light is even in that era. It would make sense though, b/c from what I read, Moe Bridges Co. was in Milwaukee WI and I live In Oshkosh WI. I have no idea. I'm learning a lot though, so it's all exciting to me.

I believe I may have found my ceiling light fixture! The photo on the website is hard to tell, b/c the phot was taken while illuminated, but I think this is it! http://www.urbanremainschicago.com/item.aspx?itemID=858
