Antique Bronze/Brass Cherub Urn/Vases What are these?
« on: February 09, 2010, 03:08:52 pm »
I have two antique vases/urns that are made of possibly bronze or brass not sure. One is adorned with a boy cherub and one adorned with a girl cherub also with flowers and leaves. They stand approx. 14" high and each weigh about 4-5 lbs. They do have some sort of signature on them that I cant read clearly -two words possibly both starting with an S. Any help on what these are or what they are made out of or worth would be great.

Thank you!

Can you please try and take a pic of the signatures w/o flash?  If it doesn't show up well a rubbing might bring it out!  That would really help in those on the forum in helping you determine information about your piece!
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
