EBAY as a refrence
« on: March 28, 2003, 09:13:36 pm »
If you have been following my posts, you will see that I use Ebay extesively as a refrence for prices. Why, because it is proof of what people will pay. I can assure you that the main place that most appraisers get thier current values is EBAY finished auction searches. It is an incredible resource.

How does one access finished auctions, you ask??
simple.
1 Do a search for something
2 On the left side in the "display" window, click "finished auctions.

there are two benefits to this. One is you get to see 30 days worth of auctions (instad of max 10 days worth of current auctions)
and you get to see the price stuff actually went for.

TRY IT!
Go to My Webpage
to talk about antiques and check on upcoming antique related events

EBAY as a refrence

I just thought I would add a comment. Ebay IS a great tool for determining approximate worth. Keep in mind shipping price advertised in the listing. Especially in larger/heavier items. That should be factored into the sale price.
