Spongeware/Spatterware pottery

This might not be considerd spongeware or spatterware, but have you ever seen one like this its pretty old and it looks like it was used daily on some type of stove/burner. Very primitive. I have been trying to pinpoint down its origin and age and if it was a milk pitcher or water pitcher in its day. It has a small number 3 stamped on the bottom. I think it is from old Germany. 5.5" tall and 6" wide. Color is light yellow with blue blotching.

Yea it is a neat old piece of history. It was used that is for sure. Im surprized it held up  this good.  I had to have it when it went up for auction,no one else was bidding on it because the auctioner anounced it was cracked well boo hoo on that . That just shows that it was used and was the real deal. I was a happy camper that day.

I like it!  Character in that piece - well used!
