Are there any numbers on the doll, box?  Does the doll have bendable joints?

old61  I can tell you that your doll is dated sometime between 1943 & 1963. On the tag the address states One Chester Street Brooklyn 12, New York.  The 12 in the address is what was called a postal zone , The United States Post Office Department implemented postal zones for large cities in 1943. For example: 3256 Epiphenomenal Avenue Minneapolis 16, Minnesota. These postal zones can date major manufacturing centers, such as New York City, as being with in a twenty year period. If your toy has a postal zone number following the city in the address, it dates between 1943 and 1963.

No markings on her anywhere. I Think she's from the 50's as my research shows that to  be the "Saran" hair era.
There is a hand written "#504" on the label on the box.
Her head, arms & legs are movable, eyes open and close. Her hair is a wig.

So strange that the "N" letters are backwards. Is that a mistake or some sort of weird intentional thing?

Okie dokie!   Yep...must have been foreign made!! 

I laughed so hard when I was in Russia on my many trips there.  Misspelled tshirts were all over the place - but they were proud wearing them!  I guess the manufacturer has to sell them somewhere!
