chinese painting
« on: March 31, 2010, 09:34:38 pm »
All i know is that its at least 50 years old, was in a scroll, and is painted by the last Emperor of Chinas cousin. On rice paper looks like a water color painting.

Any idea what year it was done &/or any documentation on it's history ?

I'm curious about it's size , newcollector .

If you've got a blacklight , you can illuminate the center horse & see if the 'white' color there reacts ( kinda like a glow-in-the-dark effect) .
White color might be paint , might be gouache .

There are 25 examples of Pu Jin's work and the auction prices they sold for on Artnet. A one-day pass subscription is $14. Probably worthwhile to pay the fourteen bucks to get accurate auction info:

Pu Jin on Artnet:

Scroll down to see the one day pass option:

I'll see if I can find any pricing on his work elsewhere.
