Any idea of the gilded bronze medal.

I have dug this gilded bronze medal. I place photos after a finding and after cleaning in a soap solution. An inscription around: 

“2 ieme EXPOSITION INTERNATIONALE  DU CNFORT  DANS LHABITATION * LIEGE 1928*” .

On other party of the medal there is a signature.  Can anyone have information about the medal worth and is it rare item? Thanks.

I found a similar medal from the 1928 International Exposition in Paris that looks similar to yours, but the figure is seated. I don't see a photo of the reverse side unfortunately. It looks like a medal for a different type of award, at the same exhibition. Here is the similar medal:

I had come up with the French Intl Exposition as well Tales but can't find this particular medal/award.

I am hunter of the WWII artifacts (hobby of metal detecting) and the medal was found in entrenchments, Lithuania. In the entrenchments were armed forces of Germany in 1944. For me it was very strange to find this item on this site.

Perhaps it was from a soldier (via France?) who'd thought it was gold ?

Wonderful little item , Murena & good for home comfort too !

I'd suspect one might could track down the history on this one (as to who originally it was awarded to &/or how someone @ the Expo could get one) .

Thanks a lot. I will try historical investigation of this award. The medal has been buried more than 60 years and gilding layer is coming off slowly. I think that further will be needed full cleaning (electrolyze treatment) & restoration (gilding) of this item as bronze under soil influence has become covered by oxides. I have experience in it and many artifacts of the WWII and others have been restored in this way.

Okay Murena, here is a list of all known International Expositions held in the world.

Look at 1928.  There were two.  One in the US and one in Germany!  In other words...a World Fair which lasted from May to October 1928.  1928 - Germany Cologne, Germany - Internationale Presse-Ausstellung (1928)

BUT in 1928 there was the founding of the Bureau International of Expositions in Paris

I believe that this is the winner!!!!!  It was a international convention that was decided where/how to have future world's fairs/expositions!!!!!
This is monumental in the future of expositions!  Makes the medal even more important!!!!  Do agree that it is most likely from this exposition or commemorating it! It was held in November 1928.
