Meissen "Lady at Bowls" by Walther Schott Question
« on: April 06, 2010, 11:25:27 am »
I was told that Walther Schott made two models of this figurine. One of them is 35-36cm in height, and Q108 is printed on the base. Does anyone know the height of the second smaller model, and what is printed on the base? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did messen produce a figurine that's name might be "Bowling  Lady" between 1815-1924 that's approx. 31cm high with incised number 40 on the base and the swords on the back of the figurine. If so, does anyone know the color of the ball that the woman is holding? I can't figure out if it's brown, or gold.

gor, here is your larger lady (36 cm).  To me the ball appears gold plated.  I believe the number you are asking about would
be either the assembler or the painter's number. Note in this link it mentions numbers for both on this specific figure. Your's
was likely assembled/painted by another employee.

Oops! might be good if I include the link. ::)
