Gold Mining Certificate
« on: April 10, 2010, 11:30:38 am »
Hello,

I recently acquired this Gold Mining certificate. I am having trouble finding the company that issued this certificate. It is from The Deer Gold Mining Company. The certificate was issued on Aug. 3rd 1901 to S. E. Leet for 400 shares at a $1.00 a share in Denver, Colorado. The printer who made up this document was W.H Kistler Stationary Co. in Denver. The certificate has been professionally framed by 15th Street Gallery in Boulder, Colorado. Has anyone every seen a certificate from this Gold Mining company or would happen to know what it's worth. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Richard

Not an expert in mining scripophily , but I do know that such certificates run around $5.00 to $20.00 retail .

If there's something that has got an actual ' historically significant ' signature , values rise with collectors .

Older ones (pre -1900's) fetch higher prices too .
